  • Who is the candidate?

  • Eyelid surgery is recommended for those who want to remove the excess fatty tissue, muscle and loose skin around the eye, and to create a more youthful, wide-eyed look.

  • How long should I stay in Thailand for Eyelid surgery?

  • You should stay in Thailand at least 10 days to complete the whole process. After eyelid surgery you don't need to stay over night at the hospital. Follow upcheck up and stitches removal will be done after 7 days from the surgery.

  • How is surgery performed?

  • Eyelid surgery takes approximately 1-2 hours. Incisions are made in the natural crease lines of the eyelids. These incisions are closed with very fine stitches.

  • Will anesthesia be used?

  • Eyelid surgery is usually performed under general anaesthesia but local anaesthesia can be used.

  • What is the post-surgical care?

  • After an eyelid surgery, a patient will have to use cold compress for 2 days to reduce swelling and bruising. Bruising varies from person to person but typically lasts from 2 weeks to a month.

  • How will the scar looks?

  • The scars will be in the fold line and fade within 6 months or more, nearly invisible white line.

  • What are the possible risks and complications?

  • Pain, Bruising and swelling for at least the first 48 hours after the surgery. This is usually gone after the first 10 days. For this reason your vision may be temporarily affected.
