Types of incisions
Breast implants may have a limited life span and may have to be removed or replaced. They will age and may wear out and rupture as a result of an injury such as a fall or knock. Recent studies indicate that the risk of experiencing problems with the breast implant is much greater 8 to 10 years after the surgery.

You should stay in Thailand at least 10 days to complete the whole process. Breast implants requires 1 night stay in the hospital. Follow up check up and stitches removal will be done 7 days after the surgery.
The incision may be done around the areola, at the armpits, or at the inferior breast folds depending upon the patient's choice and doctor's preference. The position of implant placement can be either above or under muscle depending on an individual’s anatomy.
Breast augmentation is done under General Anesthesia and takes 1-2 hours average.
There are two overall types of breast implants: silicone breast implants and saline breast implants. Silicone breast implants are normally used because they give are more natural look and feel. However, there are also other factors to consider. The breast implants may be of a round or teardrop shape and they may have either a smooth or textured surface. Our surgeons at Yanhee International Hospital normally prefer to use round silicone implants with textured surface. However, other types of breast implants may be used upon request from the patient.
The main reasons for undergoing breast implant surgery are:
• augmentation to increase breast size and shape.
• reconstruction following mastectomy (breast removal)
• replacement of an existing implant for medical or cosmetic reasons
• correction of a deformity
There are three possible incisions through which a breast implant in Thailand can be inserted:
• The most common incision is along the crease beneath the breast where it meets the chest wall.
• Some surgeons prefer to make an incision around the nipple.
• Other surgeons may prefer an incision in the armpit through which they can gain access to the chest muscle and place the implant either in front or behind that muscle.
